This is our growing list of ways you can promote your wiki contributions increasing your income. This page is editable, so if you have a good idea for promoting wiki entries, please add it to the list.
Every user has their own profile page http://www.xooguru.com/User:YourUsername. You can also get to this by logging in and clicking on your username on the left of the top menu bar. You can use this page to promote you and your entries.
Add a picture of yourself, tell people why they should listen to you and read your entries and become an expert in your field. If you know about mobile phones tell people that, then they can come to your profile page first when they want a new phone and see what you suggest. You could also add a list of your pages or your favourite pages from others.
If you have a blog, add a link to your profile or latest contributions. Make a feature of it and include a short description telling your readers why they should buy that book, or visit that online store.
If you have a profile on a social networking site, why not tell your readers about your contributions. You could also encourage them to join and contribute too.
Sites like Squidoo or Hub Pages are fantastic ways to write about things you love and link back to your wiki contributions.
Sites like Digg and Delicious allow you to make a short announcement to the world about a page you think is worth viewing. You can use the "Share" buttons at the top and bottom of the wiki pages to add your entry to these sites.
There are many article directory to which you can add an interesting article on the topic of your entry. This will increase awareness of your entry nd increase your back links.

Telling your friends about new entries you have written that may interest them is a good way to increase your traffic. Please do not spam though this just irritates people and if anything, it is liable to decrease traffic.
If you run a newsletter, you could add a link to your latest entries.
This may be the least technical method, but it still works. As well as emailing friends, tell them about your contributions.
